Berlin CityTourCard Museum Island
The Berlin CityTourCard for all those interested in culture:
free admission to the museums and collections on Museum Island,
unlimited travel in Berlin, and savings of up to 50% at Berlin’s
most beautiful tourist attractions.
Located between the Spree and the Kupfergraben canal, the buildings
on the world-famous Museum Island house the archaeological
collections and 19th century art. The Old Museum, designed by Karl
Friedrich Schinkel and built in 1830, was the first building on
Museum Island and Prussia’s first public museum. It was followed by
the New Museum in 1859, the Old National Gallery in 1876, the Bode
Museum in 1904, and the Pergamon Museum in 1930.
Enjoy a unique architectonic and cultural ensemble with many
archaeological and art exhibitions and, for example, view the bust
of Queen Nefertiti or world-famous structures including the
Pergamon Altar, the Market Gate of Milet, and Ishtar Gate.
