Berlin fare zones A, B, and C
In Berlin, Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) fares apply.
You are looking for the right ticket? Whether you are a Berliner
or a visitor to the city, you have come to the right place.
Your advantage: with a VBB ticket, you can use all the means of
transport of the various transport companies in Berlin and
Brandenburg.
The tariff area is the VBB region. It includes the State of Berlin
as well as the State of Brandenburg with its rural area districts
and self-administered cities: Brandenburg an der Havel, Cottbus,
Frankfurt (Oder) and Potsdam.
Berlin and the self-administered cities have defined fare zones.
The Berlin tariff area is subdivided into zones A, B and C.
Zone A: Berlin's inner city up to and including
the urban rail ring
Zone B: outside the urban rail ring up to the city
boundary
Zone C: Greater Berlin (area approx. 15 km around the
State of Berlin), including the City of Potsdam
Please refer to the route network to find out in which zone a
certain station is. A detailed route map is provided in the BVG
atlas. This is available at any ticket counter.
Tickets are available for the combined zones AB, BC, and ABC,
depending on your requirements. With a ticket for zones AB, you are
always right within Berlin!
