When the construction site has been completely set up,
excavation will be carried out above the groundwater level. The
passageway to the urban rail system (S-Bahn) will also be cut off
at this time.
The foyer of the S-Bahn station and the south-western exit in front
of the Adlon Hotel will remain accessible throughout the entire
construction period. The site will be covered to prevent dust
pollution.
Only conventional construction techniques can be used here, namely
an open excavation pit protected by fencing.
