Airport service TXL
From the Airbus to the JetExpressBus TXL
The JetExpressBus TXL runs between Tegel Airport and
Alexanderplatz for the standard ticket fare.
Times:
Depending on the time of day, it takes from 28 to 40 minutes to
drive from Alexanderplatz to Tegel Airport.
The first departure from the Alexanderplatz urban rail (S-Bahn) and
metro (U-Bahn) station is at 4:52 AM (Saturday and Sunday at 5:12
AM). The last bus departs Tegel Airport for the city center at
11:07 PM.
Otherwise the buses run at 10-minute intervals from 6:00 AM to 7:00
PM Monday to Friday, and then at 20-minute intervals from 7:00 PM
to 11:00 PM. On Saturdays they run every 20 minutes from 6:00 AM to
11:00 PM. On Sundays they run at 20-minute intervals from 6:00 AM
to 10:00 AM, at 10-minute intervals from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and
then at 20-minute intervals again from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Route:
The JetExpressBus TXL runs from Tegel Airport via Saatwinkler Damm
to the Beusselstraße urban rail (S-Bahn) station. It goes to the
Federal Chancellery (Hauptbahnhof) via the Turmstraße U station. It
then continues on to Alexanderplatz via the Unter den Linden urban
rail (S-Bahn) station, the Französische Straße metro (U-Bahn)
station, and Werderscher Markt.
It offers the best connections to the metro, urban rail, tram, and
bus systems, as well as to Deutsche Bahn (German Rail) trains. At
15 meters long, the buses are spacious enough to accommodate lots
of luggage.
If you want to take the urban rail (S-Bahn) Ring Line, we recommend
catching it at the conveniently located Beusselstraße
station.
Please note:
The TXL line does not run to Potsdamer Platz.
You can also reach Tegel Airport on bus lines 128, 109, and
X9.
