Dream job metro driver
Today, the dream of Berliner Rundfunk listener Enrico Krohn
has been fulfilled. Captain, engine driver, fireman
for boys,
these jobs still stand very high up on the list of dream jobs - and
metro driver.
For Enrico Krohn, who listens to the Berliner Rundfunk radio
station, this morning his dream came true. He had applied for the
dream job campaign at Berliner-Rundfunk and in the morning was
allowed to drive along the test rail at Machandelweg a few times in
a brandnew HK train. A natural talent, judged the personnel
trainer accompanying him from the Betriebsschule U-Bahn (metro
vocational school) about his temporary protégé. Radio reporter
Oliver Klein was also in on it, who preserved the discovery day
with the microphone.
Broadcast time: on Tuesday on Koschwitz am Morgen from 6 a.m. to
10 a.m. on the Berliner Rundfunk.
What makes the job of metro driver so highly desirable and which
prerequisites and skills are necessary to get the job? This
morning, Thomas Anderweit discussed that with morning host Thomas
Koschwitz on the show Koschwitz am Morgen.
Koschwitz am Morgen is not unknown to the BVG: it was first in
August that the Berliner Rundfunk broadcast its early programme for
14 days from a BVG doubledecker.
