Berlin WelcomeCard Museumsinsel (Museum Island)

Additionally the Berlin WelcomeCard+ Museumsinsel (Museum Island) gives you free entry to all Museum Island museums once a day (excluding special exhibitions).

For three consecutive days customers of the Berlin WelcomeCard Museumsinsel may have free entry to the museums of the Museum Island (Alte Nationalgalerie, Altes Museum, Bodemuseum, Neues Museum und Pergamonmuseum) – exept special exhibitions.

Please note:
Berlin WelcomeCards must be validated before starting the first journey. Ticket validation machines are located at train and underground stations, in buses and trams. After starting the journey, the Berlin WelcomeCards are not transferable. They are not valid on special routes.


The Berlin WelcomeCard Berlin AB is valid for just one person and only in the Berlin city area (tariff zone Berlin AB). It is not possible to purchase an extension ticket for zone C.

The Berlin WelcomeCard Berlin zone ABC is valid in the Berlin city area and in the greater Berlin region including airport Berlin-Schönefeld and city of Potsdam (tariff zone Berlin ABC), for joint journeys by one adult and up to three children from the age of six up to 14 years.

The period of validity of Berlin WelcomeCards for 48 hours and 72 hours commences with validation. The period of validity of Berlin WelcomeCards for 5 days commences with validation on the first day and ends on the fifth day at midnight.

Taking with you:

Children aged up to 6 years (only up to three children on ferries), prams, luggage and one dog travel free of charge with a ticket holder.

A reduced fare ticket is required for each additional dog (and may be purchased as a short trip ticket, single ticket, or day ticket).

If you want to take a bicycle with you, you need additionally a bicycle ticket.
