Tickets & Fares

The special offer for passengers who make frequent use of Berlin's public transport services.

The 4-Trip Ticket is offered only for the Berlin zone AB. It consists of four individual parts, each of which has to be validated at the start of the journey (one token for each person and for each journey).

Each token of the 4-Trip Ticket entitles you to travel with any number of changes towards your destination via a direct travel route or one necessitated by works or other nework alteration. It is valid for a maximum of two hours after validation.

Please note:
Within the two-hour validity period for a journey, you may use any number of connections or interrupt the journey as often as you wish. However, this does not include return journeys or round trips. Return journeys are journeys back to the starting point on the same route as the outbound journey. Round trips are journeys that take a different route from the outbound journey

• to the starting point
  
• to a point close to the starting point
  
• to a destination that could have been reached with the outbound journey.

Fare reduction:
The reduced fare applies to children from the age of 6 up to and including 14 years.

Where is the 4-Trip Ticket available?
The 4-Trip Ticket is available at all ticket centres of the Berlin transport companies and at all ticket machines in underground and urban rail stations. The 4-Trip Ticket is not available in buses and trams, as these vehicles only sell pre-validated tickets for the immediate journey.

Please note:
When purchasing the 4-Trip Ticket at a ticket machine, please note that the ticket consists of four individual parts that are dispensed one after the other. It takes about one minute to print the whole ticket.

Take them with you:
Children aged up to 6 years (up to three children on ferries), prams, luggage and one dog travel free of charge with a ticket holder.

A reduced fare ticket is required for each additional dog.

You will need a bicycle ticket to travel with a bicycle.
