Single Ticket

Fahrgäste an einem Fahrscheinautomaten

The Single Ticket is the best option for people who travel by public transport only occasionally.

Single Tickets entitle you to travel with any number of changes towards your destination via a direct travel route or one necessitated by works or other network alterations. They are valid for a maximum of two hours.

You can use the buses, trams and urban rail and underground trains of all transport companies within the Berlin fare zones (A, B and C), including regional rail transport and ferries.

Please note:

Within the two-hour validity of the Single Ticket you may change trains/buses, etc. or interrupt your journey as often as you wish.
Return and round trips are not permitted. Return trips are journeys in the direction of the starting point on the same line as on the outward journey. Round trips are journeys in which a different route from the outward trip is used

  • to reach the starting point
  • to a point near this
  • to a destination which could have been reached with the outward journey

Single Tickets requiring validation must be validated immediately on starting travel. These tickets are not transferable after the journey has been started.

Fare reduction:

The reduced fare is valid for children aged 6 to 14.

Accompanying persons, etc.:

Children under 6 years of age (a maximum of three children on ferries), prams/pushchairs, and luggage travel with the ticket holder free of charge.

A reduced fare ticket is required for each dog travelling with the ticket holder.

You will need a bicycle ticket to travel with a bicycle.
