Tickets & Fares

With one ticket through the whole of Berlin and Brandenburg.

The Brandenburg-Berlin Ticket is valid for any number of trips you like on the given day of validity, from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 a.m. until 03:00 a.m. of the following day; on Saturdays and Sundays and on public holidays it is valid in the whole of Brandenburg and Berlin from 00:00 a.m. until 03:00 a.m. on the following day.

The Brandenburg-Berlin Night Ticket is valid for any number of trips you like on the given day of validity from Monday to Sunday, from 18:00 p.m. until 06:00 a.m. of the following day.


Who can use the tickets?

The tickets can be used by

• Single travellers,
  
• Groups of up to 5 people (irrespective of their age) or
  
• Parents and/or grandparents (max. 2 adults) with any number of their own children / grandchildren under 15 years of age

Children under 6 years of age generally travel free of charge and are not included when determining the number of ticket users.


Where can you travel with it?

Both tickets are valid in the whole tariff area of the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) and on RE/RB trains (DB Regio AG) on the lines between:


Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

• Fürstenberg (Havel) - Neustrelitz - Waren (Müritz) (also valid within trains of the Ostdeutschen Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH)
  
• Fürstenberg (Havel) - Neustrelitz - Neubrandenburg (also valid within trains of the Ostseeland Verkehr GmbH)
  
• Fürstenberg (Havel) - Neustrelitz - Mirow (also valid within trains of the Ostdeutschen Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH)
  
• Nechlin - Pasewalk - Jatznick (also valid within trains of the Ostseeland Verkehr GmbH)
  
• Pasewalk - Ueckermünde (also valid within trains of the Ostseeland Verkehr GmbH)

    The tickets are not valid on ICE and EC trains; they are partly valid on IC and D trains, provided this is announced by notice.

  
  
  The Brandenburg-Berlin Ticket is not valid on the trams of Schöneicher-Rüdersdorfer Straßenbahn GmbH (SRS).
  
  The Brandenburg-Berlin Night Ticket is not valid for the following: Schöneicher Rüdersdorfer Straßenbahn GmbH (SRS), Südbrandenburger Nahverkehr GmbH (SBN), Verkehrsgesellschaft Prignitz mbH (VGP), Der Niederlausitzer, Herz Reisen GmbH, Omnibusverkehr Armin Glaser, Omnibus Verkehr Peter Reckter, A. Reich GmbH, Omnibusbetrieb Wetzel.
  
  
  Tickets are available here:
  
  You can purchase tickets from BVG and all other VBB transport companies, as well as from DB ticket machines, from DB ReiseZentren (travel centres), from all DB agents and online from Deutsche Bahn. If you purchase your ticket on the train you must pay an additional on-board price.
  
  
  Please note:
  
  To prevent misuse, before starting your journey, please enter your first name and family name in printed letters in the space provided on the ticket. For group travel the passenger with the longest journey should do this.
  
  In this context, please remember to carry official ID with photo to be presented together with the ticket in case of ticket inspection.
  
  Once the journey has started the size of the group may not be extended or people substituted. You may not sell this ticket or give it to someone else free of charge.
  
  Brandenburg-Berlin Tickets cannot be exchanged.
  
  
  Accompanying persons, etc.:
  Children under 6 years of age, one pram or pushchair and luggage travel free of charge.
  
  In Berlin and Brandenburg (VBB Group area) it is possible to travel with one dog free of charge. Outside of Berlin and Brandenburg Deutsche Bahn AG's conditions regarding animals apply.
