Mobile with PalmPilots
You can use the BVG journey planner on your PalmPilot. It displays individualized information on major routes, based on the latest updated timetables. You can download the BVG Palm journey planner, including the instructions for use free of charge.
Available in PRC and PDB format, the program currently supports all Palm OS versions of 2.0 and higher. See your Palm manual for how to install these files.
If you have installed the Palm Desktop software for Windows, you usually only have to double-click on the files.
If you are using a Linux operating system, you can use pilot-xfer. Use the HotSync button to transfer the files to your Palm Pilot.
Note on usage:
Enter your data in the same way that you use the BVG fahrinfo online. It’s possible to calculate routes simultaneously for several days ahead. You can also specify time ranges, such as a single route or return journeys, for certain hours of the day, or the entire day.
All you have to do is to enter your data under the "Personal Timetable" heading in BVG fahrinfo. The results can be downloaded either as a PDF file (Adobe Acrobat Reader) or in PDB format (Palm database format) for PalmPilots.
You can have the route sent to you by e-mail, or you can download it from the Website (expected processing time: less than 5 minutes).
