As a further service for mobile devices we offer handheld computer users a special version of the BVG fahrinfo program which runs on Windows CE Handheld PCs and Palm-size PCs.

You can download the current version of fahrinfo Windows CE. If you have an older version, you can also download the update right here.

To install the program, you need:

• A pocket computer with Windows Mobile (Windows CE version 2.0 or later) and an ARM, XScale, MIPS or SH-3 processor.
  
• A desktop computer with Windows 95/98/ ME or Windows NT/2000/XP.
  
• Windows CE Services/Active Sync on your desktop computer.

We recommend that you also have an additional flash memory card (CF/SD).

You may choose between two versions of Win CE:
The small version: This gives you a selection of the main routes in Berlin (around 3,000 stops). You will need approximately 5.8 MB to store data and 11.3 MB for the program itself. We recommend that your computer have at least 16 MB of RAM.

The big version: This gives you nearly all the bus and train routes in the entire Berlin/Brandenburg Transport Association (around 13,000 stops). You will need at least 10.3 MB to store data and approximately 16.9 MB for the program itself. We recommend that your computer have at least 24 MB of RAM.

Please note:
Please remove any earlier versions of fahrinfo Win CE before installing the current version.

The new version of fahrinfo pocket is only compatible with Windows Mobile smartphones if they are labeled "Pocket PC". A special version of the program is needed for these Windows Mobile units.
