BT (Berlin Transport)
As part of a strategic positioning campaign at the BVG, its
subsidiary BT has been working for over five years now to reduce
the company's transport service costs on a sustainable basis.
BT seeks to ensure that it is the leading transport service
provider in terms of price and quality in the State of Berlin.
Measures to achieve and secure this objective include a lean
organizational structure, utilizing the potential of modern
information technology, and a company labour agreement based on the
conditions of the private bus sector in Berlin.
To further improve results at the BVG, BT is instituting a
need-based restructuring of its services for 2005. To ensure the
financial basis for changes to its staff structure, BT is utilizing
appropriate personnel measures. No risks are currently evident for
the year 2005.
