Management Board – Human Resources and Social Affairs

Dirk Schulte has been member of the board for human resources and social affairs at the BVG since February 2015.

The qualified power electronics engineer studied at Hamburg University of Economics and Politics from 1992 to 1995, graduating with a degree in economics. In 1996, he joined Westdeutsche Landesbank/Investitionsbank Nordrhein-Westfalen as a project manager, before moving to represent their interests in North Rhine-Westphalia’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, Technology and Transport in Düsseldorf from 1997. He returned to WestLB a year later.

In 2001, Dirk Schulte became assistant to the member of the board of management for personnel and legal affairs at Deutsche Telekom AG, assuming the management of marketing and communication at Vivento, the personnel agency of the telecommunications giant, in autumn 2002.

Dirk Schulte was director of personnel at SZST Salzgitter Service und Technik GmbH from 2009; in 2013, he also assumed the management of the Salzgitter subsidiaries Salzgitter Flachstahl-GmbH, Peiner Träger GmbH and Ilsenburger Grobblech GmbH. At Salzgitter Stahl GmbH, he was appointed to the management board as director of personnel. In the process of corporate restructuring, Mr Schulte took on the role of director of personnel/HR managing director in the plate and section steel divisions of the Salzgitter group of companies.
Dirk Schulte was born on 28 December 1964. He is married with a daughter and a son.
