Getting to and from the Airport (TXL & SXF)

Berlin currently has two main airports, Tegel (TXL) and Schönefeld (SXF). Our goal is to get you to and from these airports as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL)

Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) is located in tariff zone B. Should you want to continue your travels with public transportation, you will need an AB or BC ticket, depending on your destination. Tickets can be purchased at the Tourist Info Point or at the ticket machines outside Terminal A. Alternatively, you can also buy tickets via one of our BVG apps.

Getting to and from the Airport

The quickest way to and from the Berlin city center is either the Jet Express Bus TXL or the Jet Express Bus X9. Either method simply requires an AB ticket. The TXL Bus takes around 25 minutes to Hauptbahnhof (Berlin Central Station) and around 30 minutes to Alexanderplatz (City East). The X9 can take you to and from Zoologischer Garten (City West) and takes about 20 minutes one-way.

To reach Berlin with public transportation you will need either a BC or ABC ticket, depending on your destination. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket machines in Terminal section L, at the Berlin Schönefeld Flughafen train station, or with our BVG apps.
