Terms and Conditions for the “My Routes” Prize Draw and Data Protection Informat
General Information
This prize draw is operated and organised by
Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG)
Institution under public law
Holzmarktstraße 15-17
10179 Berlin
The subject of the following terms is participation in the prize draw within the “My Routes” feature.
1 TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
Prize
To thank participants for using the “My Routes” feature, the BVG has devised a two-tier prize draw model.
There will be up to ten monthly prizes (hereinafter “monthly prizes”) as well as three (3) end-of-year prizes (hereinafter “main prize”). The monthly prizes are usually BVG merchandise and/or vouchers, but always within a value range of €9 - €99.
The main prizes, which are awarded at the end of the year (one prize each in October, November and December), are generally non-cash prizes, but always within a value range of €500 - €999. The respective monthly and main prizes can be transparently viewed in advance at https://www.bvg.de/en/subscriptions-and-tickets/all-apps/fahrinfo-app/my-routes.
Participation
To participate in the prize draw, you must actively use the “My Routes” feature in the BVG “Fahrinfo” app on at least 14 days within a month (each for 24 hours). To do this, the user must have set up a verified BVG account and linked it with the app.
With active use of the “My Routes” feature on at least 14 days within a month (each for 24 hours), the user automatically receives two tickets for that month. One ticket is for the monthly draw, and the other for the end-of-year draw.
Monthly Draw: By receiving one ticket, you automatically participate in the monthly draw. After the draw, the ticket expires. It cannot be transferred to the next month or used later.
End-of-year Draw: By receiving tickets for the end-of-year draw you also participate automatically, and tickets expire after the draw. Tickets for the end-of-year draw also expire if the “My Routes” feature is not actively used for more than six consecutive weeks. Anyone who wins a main prize in the end-of-year draw will no longer participate in further end-of-year draws with their remaining tickets.
All adults are eligible to participate. Minors are excluded from participation and will not receive any prize.
ATTENTION: Each participant may only participate under their own name and only once. The prize is not transferable, nor can it be exchanged or paid out in cash. Employees, authorised representatives and agents of the BVG and its subsidiaries, as well as involved service providers, are excluded from participation.
The BVG reserves the right to exclude persons from the prize draw if they violate these terms and conditions or use unfair means to participate. The BVG may also pronounce such an exclusion after the fact and reclaim any prizes or refuse to hand over the prize.
Duration of the Prize Draw
Participation in the prize draw is possible between 5 September 2025 and 31 December 2025.
The prize draw consists of two types of draws, which are monthly draws and end-of-year draws. The end-of-year draws include three main prizes, which are awarded in October, November and December.
Participation is only possible during the respective cycle.
Selection of Winner and Winner Notification
The winner is determined by a computerised lottery system. Legal recourse is excluded.
The winner will be drawn and notified by email no later than two weeks after the end of the respective draw cycle (month or year – October, November, December).
To redeem the prize, the winner must respond to their prize notification by email and provide any information necessary for the dispatch of the prize. If the winner does not respond to the prize notification within seven working days, the claim to the prize expires and a new winner is drawn. Payment of the prize value in cash and exchange of the prize are excluded.
Premature Termination and Changes
We reserve the right to terminate the competition prematurely, in whole or in part, at any time, even without observing deadlines, or to change its course if it is not possible to guarantee the proper execution of the competition for technical (e.g. manipulation of or errors in software/hardware) or legal reasons (e.g. prohibition).
