The 49-euro Deutschland Ticket is coming.

Under a resolution passed by the government and federal states, the ticket will be introduced ‘as soon as possible’ in 2023. Not all the details have been finalised yet, but we’re working on it and will keep you up to date here.

What is the Deutschland Ticket?

It allows you to use all public transport in Germany, including regional trains, with a single ticket (the ticket is not valid on long-distance trains (IC, EC, ICE)). The ticket is only available by subscription and is a personal season ticket without transferability. This means you can’t take other people, dogs, or bicycles along with you.

How much does the Deutschland Ticket cost?

The ticket costs €49 a month and thus €588 a year by subscription. You can choose to pay monthly or annually.
The ticket is valid from the time of its nationwide introduction, at the earliest from 01/01/2023. You’ll receive your ticket from us in time for the launch.

When and where can I buy the Deutschland Ticket?
As soon as the details have been finalised, the Deutschland Ticket will be available to order from the BVG on the website or at customer centres.

At present, you CANNOT buy the ticket online or at customer centres.
