Marc Hermann

Marc Hermann has been Chief Technology Officer at the BVG since February 2026. The qualified civil and environmental engineer studied at Hamburg University of Technology and additionally completed an MBA in International Management at Europäische Fernhochschule Hamburg (Germany).
Prior to joining the BVG, Marc Hermann had been working since 2022 at DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH as project manager for the construction of the ICE maintenance facility in Cottbus.
He began his professional career in 2003, holding various senior management positions at DB Netz AG in Berlin, Mainz, and Frankfurt. From 2017 to 2022, Marc Hermann was responsible at DB Fernverkehr AG in Hamburg for ensuring the punctual and fault-free provision of all long-distance trains in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.
