Sustainable mobility

The BVG drives around the world nine times a day and is more climate-friendly than ever. Our subway trains and our trams have been running on green electricity since 2014, and bus transport will also be fully electrified by the 2030s. The BVG therefore makes a fundamental contribution to Berlin's climate-protection goals. As the largest public transport company in Germany, the BVG is aware of its economic, ecological and social responsibility. And one thing is clear: without a large, diverse future-proof public transport service that is accessible to all, the mobility transition will not be possible.
