The BVG transports yousafely from A to B

Around 250 security guards are on the move 24/7 in our vehicles and facilities for our passengers. In 2023, they worked for over 1,700 hours a day to ensure that our passengers can travel safely and carefree. Focusing on subway stations with particular security relevance has proven successful. Since 2022, in addition to the entire vehicle fleet, all subway stations have also been fully equipped with video technology. Almost 7,000 CCTV-cameras support crime prevention and help the authorities to investigate possible crimes and administrative offenses. 

More cleanliness, more visible staff presence and a better feeling of security – these are the goals of the "cleaning patrol" pilot project. Security and cleaning staff work together as a team and are present at key stations much more frequently. They ensure order, safety and cleanliness around the clock. The cooperation with the police and cleaning partners such as the DB and BSR has also been optimized. Find out more about the project here.
