Berlin travels better by tram
The BVG’s tram fleet is already one of the most modern in Europe. Our new generation of trams–called the Urbanliner–consolidates this leading position. It stands for a sustainable mobility service of the future. As a highly environmentally friendly and clean means of transport, a tram saves around seven times the emissions of a car. The Urbanliner will be in passenger service from 2025.
Loooong travelling fun
At 50 meters long and 2.40 meters wide, the new tram generation outshines all previous vehicles and guarantees our passengers a relaxed feeling of space with a width of 2.40 meters. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the Urbanliner is able to meet the increasing number of passengers and requirements for safety, accessibility and comfort.
