A new application is only possible if you do not yet have an existing contract for the free school student ticket. If you already have a contract, your new application will not be processed.
If you have a contract and have lost your ticket, you’ll need to apply for a replacement fahrCard by clicking here.
One-time registration on our customer portal is required for new applications.
- Order your fahrCard (chip card) online. To do this, upload your photo and valid Berlin student ID I (proof of enrolment, deferment) and enter the required information.
- To ensure you receive it on time, please order your subscription for the following month online and by the 10th of the month at the latest. If you do not order until the 11th of the calendar month, you can expect up to 6 weeks’ turnaround time.
- Your fahrCard (chip card) will be sent to your home by post.
