Culture
Fête de la Musique – 21 June 2026:
Every year at the start of summer, the Fête de la Musique celebrates music across Berlin – free of charge and in the open air. Since 1995, musicians of all genres have been performing in public spaces, on streets and in parks, with no admission fee and no performance fee. In 2026, Reinickendorf is the festival’s partner district. Around 300 stages across the city offer a diverse programme of music.

Berlin Book Festival – 27 and 28 June 2026:
The Book Festival on Bebelplatz transforms the square into a huge open-air bookshop with around 100 stalls run by publishers and bookshops. Visitors can meet authors, publishers and book lovers in person and chat with them. The focus is on readings, talks and discussions on social issues. Hands-on activities for children and food trucks round off the programme.

Architecture Day in Berlin – 27 and 28 June 2026:
On Architecture Day, the Berlin Chamber of Architects invites you to discover the capital’s built environment. Architects, urban planners and landscape architects will be presenting their current projects in person during guided tours and talks. Numerous venues across Berlin will open their doors, offering fascinating glimpses behind the scenes of modern architecture. Advance booking is recommended for many of the guided tours.

Family & leisure
Long Night of Science – 6 June 2026:
During the Long Night of Science, over 50 institutions in Berlin and Potsdam will open their doors and bring research to life. On 6 June 2026, visitors can look forward to exciting experiments, talks, guided tours and hands-on activities in laboratories, libraries and lecture theatres. Around 1,500 events – many of them specifically for children and young people – invite you to explore and join in the discussion. The event sends a clear message in support of science and facts in the face of fake news and conspiracy theories.

Viva Victoria: Neighbourhood Festival in Lichtenberg – 6 June 2026:
In 2026, Viva Victoria will be welcoming visitors to Victoriastadt for the 26th time, offering a colourful family and neighbourhood festival for all ages. Around 5,000 visitors can look forward to a flea market and street food stalls, a stage programme and numerous activities from the neighbourhood. The highlight is the popular rubber duck race featuring up to 750 ducks. Sustainability is a key focus – with regional and fairly produced food of organic quality.

Environment Festival at the Brandenburg Gate – 7 June 2026:
The Environment Festival at the Brandenburg Gate is all about sustainability, climate protection and eco-friendly ideas for everyday life. Over 200 exhibitors will offer hands-on activities, information and a varied stage programme featuring music, talks and poetry slams. The 2026 theme is “Soil – You Stand on It” and highlights the importance of soil for the climate, nature and food. For children, there are numerous hands-on activities centred on nature and agriculture.

ILA Berlin – 10 to 14 June 2026:
ILA Berlin is one of the world’s leading aerospace trade fairs and will take place in 2026 at the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport at BER. Exhibitors will showcase the latest aircraft, space technologies and innovations in sustainable aviation. Whilst the first days of the fair are reserved for trade visitors, the public days at the weekend will open their doors to all visitors. Highlights include air shows, walk-in aircraft, space exhibitions and the Talent Hub, offering insights into career opportunities in the industry.

Sport
Berlin Triathlon – 6 and 7 June 2026:
The Berlin Triathlon celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026 and will start at the Insel der Jugend in Treptower Park. Participants can choose between various distances – from children’s and super-sprint triathlons to the Olympic distance. The route takes participants around the Insel der Jugend for the swim, along the Plänterwald for the cycle, and through the park for the run. During the event, there will be traffic and road closures in parts of Treptow.

Berlin Tennis Open – 13 to 21 June 2026:
The Berlin Tennis Open brings the world’s top tennis players to Berlin. At the LTTC Rot-Weiß grounds in Grunewald, the world’s best female tennis players will compete against each other on grass, creating a Grand Slam atmosphere. In 2026, nine of the current top 10 players will be taking part. The tournament is complemented by a varied programme of events for visitors.

Berlin Water Sports Festival – 26 to 28 June 2026:
The Berlin Water Sports Festival in Grünau combines water sports, entertainment and tradition. Visitors can discover the latest water sports products and look forward to a varied programme featuring music, shows and hands-on activities. The event builds on a long history: water sports festivals have been held in Berlin-Grünau since as far back as 1880. The spacious grounds offer ideal conditions for activities on and around the water.
