Better access,better lives

Accessibility is a matter close to our hearts.

All our buses have been accessible since 2009, all trams since 2021. We are also working hard to ensure that all subway stations are barrier-free with an elevator and are equipped with a guidance system for the blind.

Full information for passengers with reduced mobility can be found in our “Accessible” flyer, which is available free of charge at all BVG sales outlets or can be downloaded here. We are also working to ensure that our analogue and digital information is simple and understandable by everyone.

The BVG’s mobility-training day

The BVG offers a free training day for people with reduced mobility at regular intervals. On various dates throughout the year, barrier-free boarding and alighting from buses, trams and underground trains is explained, demonstrated and practiced. The practical exercises and helpful tips are intended to promote independence in everyday life so that all our passengers can reach their destination safely.
